6 Million man-hours without Lost-Time-Injury - a new milestone for ADT

Abu Dhabi Terminals has completed 6 million man-hours without LTI (lost time injury) on 24 February 2016. This record breaking new milestone is a great achievement; making KPCT one of the safest terminals globally with almost 1000 days without a single accident.

Accomplishing this record provides support for the company’s HSE team and motivation for achieving ADT’s goal of a safe work environment for employees and contractors.

“This is outstanding and couldn’t have been achieved without everyone’s effort and commitment towards constantly improving the safety within the container terminal. It really shouldn’t be underestimated how difficult it is to achieve this and I would like to personally thank everyone for all their hard work.” Said Michael Anderson, ADT’s HSE Manager.

Terminal automation is often a major driver to achieve substantial safety benefits combined with better safety gear and training, and a system which is in place to learn from past accidents and modify behavior accordingly. ADT obliges all contractors before starting any project inside the terminal to abide by the company’s HSE principles for protecting employees and providing a suitable working environment which helps in carrying out the work without any delays.

The safety of anybody in and around the Khalifa Port Container Terminal is, and always will be, Abu Dhabi Terminals' number one priority.
